The Final Rule

GENESEO, IL, (05/03/18) – Springfield Armory is severing ties with Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring a group for anti-Second Amendment lobbying.

This latest action follows Dick’s Sporting Goods’ decision to remove and destroy all modern sporting rifles (MSR) from their inventory. In addition, they have denied Second Amendment rights to Americans under the age of 21. We at Springfield Armory believe that all law abiding American citizens of adult age are guaranteed this sacred right under our Constitution.

Like any firearm, the function of the M&P®380 Shield™ EZ™ Manual Thumb Safety pistol can be influenced by the type and quality of ammunition used with the pistol. In the case of the M&P 380 Shield EZ Manual Thumb Safety, we have found that in very rare circumstances, ammunition that produces a high level of felt recoil can cause the manual safety to move from the fire to the “safety on” position during firing. Should this occur, you will not be able to fire the next round unless and until the manual safety is reset to the fire position.

Maverick Arms has discovered that a small number of Maverick Hunter Over/Under 12-gauge shotguns (SKU 75445) have been marked incorrectly. The chamber marking indicates that these shotguns are chambered for 3½-inch shells; however, the chambers are manufactured for 2 ¾-inch and 3-inch shells. All Maverick Hunter shotguns are manufactured with 3-inch chambers, not 3½-inch chambers.

DISCONNECTOR SAFETY NOTIFICATION

This is an old recall but we serviced 2 rifles this month that had not had the firing pin replaced with the improved version. If you own a Winchester Model 100 STOP using it and bring it in or call us so we can check the status of your firearm. The firing pin can break and lodge in the bolt causing the firearm to "slam fire".

Let me first say that if you purchased a Remington 887 shotgun from Parker Arms & Gunsmithing your firearm is not affected by this recall. I have checked our records and verified the serial #'s of the 887"s sold here. The 887's sold here DO NOT fall into the recall group.
If you purchased an 887 elsewhere, or know of someone with a Remington 887, STOP using it immediately until you go to the link below and check the serial #.

PRODUCTS: Remington is voluntarily recalling Remington Model 887™ shotguns manufactured from December 1, 2013 to November 24, 2014.
